Charlie's Auto Museum
Mornington Peninsula
Charlie's Auto Museum, located on the Mornington Peninsula, has a fairly modest exterior. However, step through the doors (with a blue Chevrolet riding high above your head) and you are immediately transported into a world of automobiles; from a variety of locations and eras.
The museum, owned by none other than Charlie himself, is homage to his enduring love of all things car-related. The collection initially started as a few Studebakers, then expanded into the impressive 80+ car collection that it is today, with extensive collections of auto-related advertising signs, models, parts, and even a car used in the film 'Grease'.
The museum offers a fascinating insight into the history of cars; presented in a lively way that is sure to interest even children with the shortest attention span. Perhaps the real appeal of this place is that the enthusiasm that Charlie so clearly has for cars simply spills over into his collection; and whilst perusing the polished cars and learning about auto-mobiles, it is impossible to resist the infectious quality of his passion.
Look out for the new display area coming soon - it will house the collection of luxary cars another ten cars for you to see and enjoy.
