7th Melbourne Ukulele Festival - Pimp My MUF Art Show Opening

The acclaimed 7th Pimp my MUF, Melbourne Ukulele Festival's exhibition of custom painted and decorated ukuleles is back. Artists from all over Australia show in every conceivable way, what they can do with a ukulele without even strumming the strings! Entries will be exhibited at Bar 303 for your amazement.

The limited size of the ‘canvas’ seems to inspire unlimited possibilities. Artists have used paint, decoupage, sculpture, collage, engraving, mechanisation, anthropomorphism, biomorphism and so much more to transform this humble instrument into amazing works of art.

It’s a one of a kind exhibition not-to-be-missed!

Exhibition runs from Friday 28th October to Friday 25th November 2016

Swing by on opening night to vote for your favourite Uke-Of-Art in the People’s Choice Award.

The 7th Pimp My MUF art show invites artists to exhibit.

Artists wishing to participate need to download the entry form and submit your entry by the closing date:   Wednesday 26th October at 8.00pm

Participation fee is $10.  (The PIMP My MUF art show does not levy any fees or commissions on work sold.)

The pimp my MUF art show will exhibit your artistic work to hundreds during the festival and the exhibition will continue for 4 weeks.

Prizes will be given for the best entry as well as a people’s choice award and winners will be announced during the opening.
