Enjoy an Evening With Patron Ita Buttrose AO OBE To Raise Awareness For Bowel Cancer
Patron of the Jodi Lee Foundation and media trailblazer, Ita Buttrose AO OBE will be headlining the Jodi Lee Foundation’s An Evening with Ita Buttrose AO OBE on Saturday 25 May at the Kooyong Tennis Club to raise vital funds for bowel cancer research.
Ita Buttrose AO OBE, former Australian of the Year and dedicated preventative health advocate, will be hosting the evening to raise awareness and research funds for Australia’s second most common cancer, bowel cancer, and will be helping to inform everyone of how they can reduce their risk of this fatal disease.
As one of Australia’s biggest health advocates, Ita took on the role of Patron of the Jodi Lee Foundation to raise awareness for the prevalence of bowel cancer. Her connection to the Jodi Lee Foundation came after losing her brother and a close female friend to the disease. Ita aims to convince all Australians that the subject of their bowel movements shouldn’t be avoided.
The evening will also feature internationally renowned singer and actor Michael Cormick, who’s Australian stage credits include Beauty and the Beast, Cats, The Rocky Horror Show and Mamma Mia! There will also be an auction with monies raised going towards much-needed bowel cancer research.
