Victoria’s biggest Movie and Comic Expo celebrates 10 years with stellar line-up
The Australian Movie and Comic Expo (AMC Expo, formally known as Armageddon Australia)
returns for its tenth year to the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds this October. A stellar lineup of
local and international celebrities means fans of all ages will be treated to spectacular displays
of iconic memorabilia, live entertainment, activations and activities.
This year, AMC Expo is honoring two major milestones with Star Trek celebrating 50 years and
the Transformers: The Movie celebrating 30 years. Guests from both movies will be present at
the Expo in Melbourne to mark their respective anniversaries, as well as stars from Superman,
The Nanny, The Walking Dead, Charmed and Clerks to name just a few.
Comic and voice-over guests remain a major drawcard to the event, including Disney Hall of
Famer, Linda Larkin (Princess Jasmine, Aladdin 1992), Melbourne’s own Tristan Jones (current
artist on Mad Max Fury Road) and Australian Dean Rankine (Simpson Comics) all making
appearances.
Adding another dimension to this year’s lineup, NASA astronaut and Technical Adviser on the
Green Lantern and Oblivion movies, Rick Searfoss, will be making his debut appearance.
This year’s star lineup of guests also includes:

Tammin Sursok – Home & Away, Pretty Little Liars;
Dorian Gregory – Charmed;
David Naughton – An American Werewolf in London;
Jack O’Halloran – Superman, Hero and the Terror;
Sarah Douglas – Superman, Conan the Destroyer;
Marc McClure – Superman, Back to the Future;
Gideon Emery – Teen Wolf, Daredevil;
Alona Tal – Supernatural;
Seth Gilliam – The Walking Dead, Teen Wolf;
Dean Haglund – X-Files, The Lone Gunmen;
Other guests including stars from GI Joe, writers from Green Arrow and Warlord,
Voltron, The Smurfs, Saved By The Bell – The New Class and many more.
Melbournian’s will also be able to revel in the nostalgia of viewing Back to the Future’s own
Dolorean car along with three Jurassic Park cars that will also be on display.
The always popular Cosplay competition is back this year, with live performances from some of
Australia’s best emerging artists and an impressive LEGO ‘Brickvention’ constructed for the
weekend.
