Set to be bigger and better than ever before, the 2017 Melbourne Leisurefest (5-8 October) is a one-stop shop for holidaymakers looking to get a taste of the adventure ahead – and this year in a first, man’s best friend is invited, too*!

This year in celebration of our furry travel companions, CIA VIC is excited to be partering with Australian veterinarian and TV personality Dr. Katrina Warren for the first time at Melbourne Leisurefest.

What’s new for 2017 – highlights:

• Your dog deserves a holiday, too! Celebrity vet and pet travel expert, Katrina Warren will speak on travelling with pets, the benefits to both the family and dog and her tops tips, tricks and advice for hitting the road with your four-legged companion in tow.

• Feeling brave? Why not climb in as a passenger for the ultimate 4x4 track experience, featuring an array of obstacles including mini rock crossing, log crossing, articulation mounds, a water crossing and two stall/stop hills?

• Australian cricketing great turned fishing fanatic, Merv Hughes will speak on all things angling, trawling and casting as well sharing his best catches from his national fishing show.

Patrons will also have the opportunity to tour a variety of new exhibitors from boating and fishing, camping and outdoor accessories and the latest and greatest in caravanning technology from Australia’s leading manufacturers. Colourful vintage vans from far and wide will also be on display with their owners happy to tell you about the history of their beloved van.

Caravanning Explorers' Club

Why not make your visit to the 2017 Melbourne Leisurefest a family event? The kids can join the Caravanning Explorers' Club, brought to you by the Caravan Industry Association of Victoria, where they can pick up a free show bag, enjoy free rides and many more fun activities!

Free Childrens Rides All Weekend

FREE rides for children will be available on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October. There's something here for the whole family, which will keep the kids entertained with hours of fun!

Seminar Stages

Our two Centre Stages will feature live music, seminars, demonstrations and much more. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to the outdoors lifestyle, there will be a range of educational sessions and demonstrations to help you get the most out of your holidays!

AL-KO Towing Demostrations

AL-KO will be giving attendees the opportunity to experience a real AL-KO ESC activation as a caravan is towed through a swerve & recovery test on the main straight of Sandown Raceway.

Major Attractions

Be sure not to miss the fun! The Australian travelling fish show, Supertank, gives you a 'fish eye view' without the inconvenience of getting wet all over. This spectacular 15 metre long, 3 metre high Yamaha Supertank is a must for fishermen. Experts will demonstrate the different types of lures and how fish respond to them just like they would out on the water.

*Please note, a limit of one dog per family will be welcomed into the show each day
