Free Online Art Classes for Aussie Frontline Workers

Thursday 20 August to Sunday 20 September at 08:00
Melbourne Cork and Canvas Online Melbourne

Thursday 20th August through to Sunday 20th September

To honour Australia’s dedicated frontline workers, Cork and Canvas is now offering free online paint and sip sessions to relieve stress during the COVID-19 crisis.

These brave frontline workers will gain access to a complimentary step-by-step video tutorial from Cork and Canvas’ senior lead artists.
Our Aussie heroes can access either an on demand session which allows you to stop and start the tutorial and take the class at your own pace, or a live class via Zoom, allowing them to engage virtually with other art lovers in the class.

With so much uncertainty around just how long this pandemic will last, particularly in Victoria and New South Wales, anxiety levels for many are at an all time high.
Research has shown that 45 minutes of creative activity significantly lessens stress in the body, something our frontline legends need more than ever.
Founder of Cork and Canvas Melinda Janiszewski commented: “There’s no doubt working on the frontline of a pandemic has been trying for thousands of our hard working doctors, nurses, hospital staff, paramedics, and police officers.
This is our way of saying thank you and keep your head up! We hope these classes bring some much needed downtime and relaxation to essential workers during a very stressful time.” Melinda feels strongly about supporting this cause after completing a degree in Cardiac Ultrasound, Nutrition and two years of nursing school.

Cork and Canvas online classes are available for all other Aussies looking for something relaxing at home, for $30 per class.
For those that don’t have art supplies at home, a creativity kit can be purchased and delivered to your door. This includes access to an art class (either on demand or live via Zoom), paint brushes, paints and canvases.
Kits can be purchased in single pack ($80), double ($130) and family sizes ($230).
Cork and Canvas vouchers can be redeemed and creative kits can be purchased on their website.
