In 2017, the best players and teams from around the globe will descend on Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea for the Rugby League World Cup.
Melbourne is hosting the official World Cup opener for the forthcoming Rugby League World Cup. They'll also be a quarter final match too so stay tuned for more details on who'll be playing as the tourament progresses.
From 27 October until 2 December 2017, the Rugby League World Cup will see 14 teams play 28 games over five weeks and it's almost guaranted to be a sell-out especially in sport-mad Melbourne.
This will be the biggest sporting event in Australia during 2017 and will be seen by more communities and fans than any other World Cup.
With old, long term rivals Australia and England kicking the tournament off, this is one you won't want to miss.
