Peninsula Short Film Fest

Held annually at the Village Green, Rosebud on the first Saturday in February. The Peninsula Film Fest is the peninsula’s iconic, annual, short film festival.

Held annually on the Mornington Peninsula, the Peninsula Short Film Fest is the Peninsula`s iconic short film festival with the largest single viewing audience in Victoria.

Bring a rug and some friends and enjoy watching a selection of short films all judged live by a panel of celebrity judges. 

What started out as 500 people packed into a theatre, quickly turned into an annual pilgrimage, seeing thousands of people head to the peninsula each year to enjoy quality short films FREE outdoors.
 
Each year, 12 shortlisted films are screened and are judged live by a panel of celebrity judges.  Films are also screened in additional categories including Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best International and the Woodleigh School Emerging Filmmaker Award.  All films are competing for up to $30K in cash and prizes.

12 short listed films will be judged live on Saturday February 4, 2017 by a panel of celebrities with the winner taking out $5K in cash, second place $2.5K cash and third place scoring $1250 cash. 

There are plenty more cool prizes with awards for Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best International and the Woodleigh School Emerging Filmmaker Award (open to any Australian student under 18 years of age). 

There’s also awards for Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography. Entries are open until Friday December 9, 2016.  Films must not be more than 8 minutes.

VIP Marquee
Tickets for the VIP Marquee are $150 per person. Come and mingle with the celebrity judging panel, industry representatives and other VIPs in our fully catered VIP marquee.   Enjoy the show from the best seat in the house.  Sip on local wines, beer, soft drink and sample local produce in our fully catered marquee.  You must be 18 years or older to enter.
