The Life’s Little Treasures Foundation Walk For Prems is going virtual this year.
Walk For Prems will commence with virtual welcoming ceremonies at 9:30am before friends and family head out their doors at 10:30am for a 5km walk around their communities to raise money and awareness for premature and sick babies.
This year’s virtual Walk For Prems will still be the inclusive and supportive community event that it has always been. The annual Walk For Prems will kick off after the ceremonial release of white doves to pay respect to families who have lost a child.
Making the most out of the day, online entertainment and competitions will be held, with prizes up for grabs until the online thank you speeches at 12:30pm.
In the lead up to the Walk, there will be lots of activities and competitions for those registered, as well as the opportunity to connect and share tips with other families on the active Walk For Prems Facebook group.
Walk For Prems has brought people together for the past 11 years to connect and celebrate whilst raising money and awareness for premature and sick babies.
Living in isolation is something prem families are all too familiar with, and this year, Life’s Little Treasures Foundation wants to encourage people to reach out to one another and stay connected while being involved in something positive.
Life’s Little Treasures Foundation encourages everyone to join in on the fun and spirit of being part of this wonderful community event. Prizes will be awarded for categories such as best dressed, happiest baby, and top fundraisers, in addition to weekly competitions in the lead up to the walk.
Registrations close on Wednesday, 14 October.
