Description
This exciting activity heads south towards Phillip Island from Melbourne. On the way, your guide will share interesting stories as well as facts about Melbourne and the region, including pointing out where some international celebrity holiday spots lie.
Stop first for a locally-sourced lunch of your selection (own expense) for tours between April-October at the seaside town of San Remo. Then explore Phillip Island. Visit a family-run open-range wildlife sanctuary where you can feed kangaroos, emus, and wallabies and walk among up to 80 species of native animals and birds, including koalas, wombats, and echidnas.
Following the wildlife encounter, head straight to the rugged cliff faces of the Nobbies overlooking Western Port Bay and the Bass Strait, one of the most dangerous stretches of water in the world. Have your camera ready, as you might even spot some seals on the rocks below.
Next, tour in your vehicle through the areas where the little penguin burrows lie. Keep an eye out for the birds of prey that circle the nature reserve from above. After a full day of up-close nature experiences with native Australian wildlife, get ready for the highlight of the evening: the little penguin parade.
Spend the maximum time at the parade and afterward relax and recline back in the seats of the custom Mercedes vehicles as you make your way back to your city center accommodation.
