Description
The tour begins with travel into the Adelaide Hills to explore Hahndorf, a traditional German town, and Mt Lofty Summit offering sweeping views of Adelaide. The route continues through grain and stock lands towards Keith for lunch.
Next, the group visits the Naracoorte Caves World Heritage Site to learn about Mega Fauna fossil discoveries. Close by is the renowned Coonawarra wine region, famous for premium Cabernet Sauvignon, where a wine tasting stop is included.
Accommodation for the night is at ‘The Barn’, featuring luxurious rooms and an award-winning restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
On day two, the tour visits the blue crater lake in Mt Gambier, then proceeds to Port Fairy before exploring Tower Hill Reserve, where Emus, Koalas, Kangaroos, and Echidnas may be seen.
The Great Ocean Road section begins with views of the limestone stacks at Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands, followed by London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge. The Loch Ard story is shared alongside original artefacts, photos, and documents displayed in treasure chests.
The nearby Twelve Apostles are explained in terms of their geological formation and ongoing coastal erosion. The journey continues through Otway National Park to Apollo Bay and Skenes Creek, where guests stay in private 4-star villas set in native forest with views of the Southern Ocean. Dinner is at the award-winning “Chris at Beacon Point,” a modern Greek-Australian restaurant known for its quality and views.
The third day starts with breakfast in Apollo Bay, followed by a walk at Maits Rest in Otway National Park—a 1km walk through cool temperate rainforest.
The tour then heads towards Melbourne, traveling along a scenic stretch of the Great Ocean Road with a stop at Kennett River for wild Koala viewing. Several scenic photo stops and stories about the road’s history are included.
Lunch is at the seaside village of Lorne, then the route passes through Torquay and Bells Beach to experience the local surf culture. The tour finishes by passing through Geelong and crossing the West Gate Bridge before escorting guests to their Melbourne hotel.

- Single supplement: Single travellers are assigned their own villa or private hotel room with a $100 gross per night supplement. Two singles wishing to share must book as twin share. Group sizes between 2 and 8 adults; single travellers are advised to confirm tour minimums before booking.
