Description
Explore the Great Ocean Road on a full-day tour from Melbourne. Stop at the Split Point Lighthouse, the Great Ocean Road house number, and the Twelve Apostles. See koalas at Kennett River and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Apollo Bay and Loch Ard Gorge.
Stop at the Split Point Lighthouse, one of the main attractions on the Great Ocean Road. Next to the lighthouse are the Heart-shaped Reef and Eagle Rock, both of which are worth stopping to appreciate.
See the Great Ocean Road house number, a tribute to the workers who built the Great Ocean Road during the First World War. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of its completion, a monument was left beside the road. It has been renovated three times, and the third generation of house numbers is currently available.
Stop at Kennett River, a famous koala viewing site in Australia. This native animal lives in large numbers in the blue gum forests on both sides of the continent. Be sure to pay attention, you may even see koalas crossing the road, or even relaxing on the balconies of local houses. In addition to koalas, you can also explore the traces of wild parrots and wombats.
Visit Apollo Bay, a crescent-shaped bay, backed by the Otway Mountains, with a wide white sand beach in front and beautiful scenery. Few towns occupy such a beautiful location. It is a popular place for Melbourne residents to camp on weekends, and many people go fishing here.
Stop at the Gibson Steps, a good place to view the Twelve Apostles. A cliff trail along the coastline of the Great Ocean Road, about 70 meters high, is thrilling enough to make your heart beat faster.
Visit the Twelve Apostles, the most legendary coastal scenery in Australia's South Seas, is a scenery that is written into textbooks. The monsoon blowing from the Antarctic Circle rolls up huge waves, which beat against the limestone reefs and shape the magical 'coastal sculpture' - the Twelve Apostles.
Stop at Loch Ard Gorge, named after a 19th-century shipwreck 'Loch Ard,' where you can enjoy the spectacular sea view and the beautiful scenery of Australia's southern coastline.
