Description
Explore the world-famous Great Ocean Road on this full-day private tour from Melbourne. Travel in air-conditioned comfort and enjoy an included morning tea. See koalas and birds in their natural habitat, Torquay Surf Beach, the 12 Apostles, the Gibson steps, and more.
After being picked up from your accommodation in your private vehicle, set off on your tour of the Great Ocean Road. Throughout the day, follow along in many different languages via the activity provider's website app so you don’t miss a thing.
Make your first stop at Torquay Surf Beach for your first look and feel of the iconic beaches and coastal views along the route. Spot Bells Surfing Beach in the distance, and refresh with morning tea in the fresh seaside air.
Continue to the Pole House for a photo opportunity at the most photographed house on the Great Ocean Road. Admire the way the house's unique architecture — it is suspended 40 meters above the ground by a singular concrete column — maximizes the view of the coastline.
Next, snap a selfie at the Great Ocean Road Sign before witnessing koalas and colorful parrots in their natural environment. Stop at the coastal town of Apollo Bay where you can buy lunch from the many restaurants and cafes. Take a walk around town or go for a swim in the sea if the weather's good.
After lunch, head out on a guided forest walk to see some of the tallest trees in the world. Continue to the Gibson Steps and keep an eye out for some of the 12 Apostles from the beach (tide and wind permitting).
Then, get closer to the 12 Apostles and take your time to marvel at these world-renowned limestone beauties. Make a stop at Loch Ad Gorge to witness first-hand this magnificent formation of rocks and rolling sea.
On the way back to Melbourne, see the unique jagged Razorback formation and the Island Archway. Break up the return journey with a stop at Colac where you can buy dinner. Afterward, your guide will drive you back to your accommodation.
