We explore the streets and alleys of the southern part of Fitzroy, where Melbourne's most notorious criminals lived and plied their trade 100 years ago.
You will receive a booklet which contains photos of the characters discussed, as well as crime scene maps and other interesting documents. Along the way you will discover former brothels and sly grog shops (speakeasies), the sites of gangland murders, and places where criminals such as the famous 'Squizzy' Taylor drank, fought, and faced trial. You will get to know what it was like to struggle for survival in what was considered 'the home of Melbourne's criminals' - old Fitzroy.
