From there, continue through a vibrant conservation zone, where you'll encounter the extraordinary sight of over 50,000 grey-headed flying foxes, Australia’s largest bat species, hanging in the trees and soaring above the canopy. As you approach the end of your two-hour hike, the trail opens up to reveal the historic Fairfield Boathouse, a beloved Melbourne icon dating back to 1908.
