Description
Begin with a central pickup from Melbourne. Head out to the lush countryside and make your first stop at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, a sweet haven established in 2012. Explore and indulge in an extraordinary selection of over 250 different chocolate creations and more than 140 flavors of house-made ice cream.
Next, step onto the site of Victoria's first vineyard, where vines were originally planted in 1838. At Yering Station, enjoy a premium wine tasting at their Cellar Door, housed in the beautifully preserved Old Winery building built in 1859.
Continue to Healesville Sanctuary, a dedicated facility focusing exclusively on Australian animals. Explore the sanctuary and witness the conservation work at the Australian Wildlife Health Centre, which treats approximately 1,500 injured and sick animals annually. Note: Guests will need to purchase their own lunch here.
Conclude your nature exploration with a refreshing walk through a cool-climate temperate rainforest. The main feature is the Skywalk, a 40-meter-long elevated observation platform that provides a rare treetop perspective of the forest canopy—one of only three of its type in Australia. From here, marvel at magnificent Mountain Ash trees (among the tallest flowering plants on Earth) and ancient Myrtle Beech trees, estimated to be between 300 to 400 years old.
