My high expectations for this small but very busy Malaysian restaurant in St Kilda were surpassed.
The staff are helpful and attentive without being pushy even on a very busy Saturday. The atmosphere is lively but still at a level where conversation is possible.
The menu is extensive with classics such as Rendang and less well known dishes like the fabulous Gado Gado which shouldn't work but is truly amazing.
I could write volumes on the dishes we sampled about the flavours that just zinged across the palate. The subtlety of spicing in seafood dishes to the more robust spicing of meat dishes. Every mouthful offers new sensations of taste and texture.
Chinta Ria Soul delivers on every level for me the food is 1st class and reasonably priced I have eaten at some of the best Asian restaurants in Melbourne but this is the my new number one.
