The District Docklands
Harbour Town Shopping
Excellent discount shopping with over 180 stores.
Previously Harbour Shopping Centre, an increasingly popular shopping mecca area with it's centre piece, the Melbourne's Star, this discount shopping centre contains over 180 factory outlets as well as trendy cafés and excellent restaurants and even the country's first 18-hole glow-in-the-dark Mini Golf.
Covering an area of around 41 000 square metres, the mall also offers a tourism lounge where visitors can relax and enjoy complimentary refreshments before exploring the stores. Guests can acquire a special Tourism Card that offers unique offers and discounts, which is added incentive to shop untill you drop. There's even a place to keep your parcels safe while you're shopping, a complimentary taxi telephone service, tourism information and brochures available.
Popular with both residents and tourists, The District Docklands offers mainly fashion and homeware, and is open seven days a week, with late night shopping on Fridays.
It's worth spending a few hours here - and when you tire of shopping, you can always recharge with some refreshment at one of the cafés, or have a meal at a choice of restaurants.
