Ballarat is a city steeped in history and was built from the rough hands of the gold miners during the Victorian Gold Rush of the 1800's. Travel to Ballarat from Melbourne to pay a full-day visit to Sovereign Hill, a perfectly re-created 1850s gold mining settlement. Travel first to the exciting Ballarat Wildlife Park, one of the best wildlife parks to experience close up Australian animals in their natural surroundings.
