Description

Depart Melbourne late in the afternoon on a magical tour to see the Little Penguins at night! Get access to an exclusive viewing platform, limited to no more than 150 people. Ideal for those short of time, the 7-hour tour departs from Federation Square and heads straight to Phillip Island in time to catch the famous Little Penguin Parade. Drive through Melbourne’s affluent suburbs and see how the modern architecture blends beautifully with the late 19th-century Federation homes. As the South Gippsland Highway approaches, the landscape becomes more rural with smaller townships and farming properties. Pass the fishing town of San Remo to cross the only bridge that connects Phillip Island to the mainland.  In addition to the penguins, Phillip Island boasts an amazing coastline with ideal surf conditions and a huge range of wildlife. As the sun sets over the ocean, the Little Penguins will emerge from the sea and waddle up the beach to their sand dune burrows. Marvel as the little fellas feed their young. Little Penguins are the smallest of the penguin species and Phillip Island is home to the largest colony in the world. Journey back to Melbourne and get dropped off at Federation Square at the end of the day.
