Description

Located only 90 minutes from Melbourne, Phillip Island offers an abundance of Australian wildlife, spectacular scenery and exciting new experiences. Witness the natural spectacle of the world’s smallest penguins arriving home at sunset each evening at the world-famous Penguin Parade. Experience the nightly parade from the underground viewing as the penguins emerge from the waves and waddle across the sand. Your ranger will escort you to the VIP Skybox, which enjoys a prime elevated location overlooking the beach, where you can participate in the nightly penguin count with the head ranger. Use the binoculars to spot the penguins before they emerge from the water to make their nightly crossing of the beach.

  • You must make your own way to Phillip Island and between the attractions
  • The attraction is outside, so warm clothing is advisable
  • Photography and video are not permitted at the Penguin Parade due to the effects on the animals

  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs required, please advise at the time of booking if you or a member of your group has limited mobility
  • This tour operates with limited numbers to a maximum of 10 people; please book ahead during the holiday season
  • Tour duration approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, but may be extended subject to penguin arrival times
  • From April 2019 you can access the underground VIP Skybox viewing. For visits prior to April 2019, you will have access to another VIP location - the Penguin Plus viewing platform
