Situated off Nepean Highway in Mount Martha, The Briars is a historic homestead, built around the 1800's, and situated on around 230 hectares of working farmland. 

The homestead houses the Napoleonic collection and entry to the home is free. The land surrounding the homestead has a variety of things to do including; Bushwalking, Bird watching, walking along the Balcombe Estuary Boardwalk, an Eco Living display Centre, Historic Farm buildings, Wildlife Sanctuary and wetlands, Woodland walks, gardens & vineyard, picnic areas (which includes use of free BBQ's) and a Nursery of native and indigenous plants.

Also situated on the property are; Josephine's Restaurant and Angus & Rose café should you decide to stop for a bite to eat, coffee or snack.
