Johnny’s Rooftop Festival presented by Peroni

Tuesday 3 March to Sunday 29 March at 08:00
Melbourne Johnny's Green Room Level 2/293-297 Lygon St, Carlton

Rooftop bars are what Melbourne is all about. As the Melbourne summer draws to a close, the Italian summer is just warming up. Throughout the month of March, Peroni has teamed up with Johnny’s Green Room to present Johnny’s Rooftop Festival.

Johnny’s Rooftop Festival, presented by Peroni will be running from 3st March – 29th March 2020.

From food, music, art and fashion, the program is set to see Melbournians soak up and enjoy every last golden hour, with a Peroni or two in hand. The Peroni take over will see the iconic Carlton rooftop be transformed into a Sorrento inspired escape. The creative direction was inspired by Italian architect Giovanni “Gio” Ponti.

Throughout the month, guests can enjoy a Peroni and pizza for $10 every Monday, sample the delicious Peroni inspired cocktail, the Johnny’s Bees Knees and relish in the sounds of Hope Street DJs including DJ JNETT doing a Friday residency for the month.

Adding an Australian flavour to the Vita Con Stile program, Mikey Nolan and Toby Jones from cult brand Double Rainbouu have partnered with Peroni and Johnny’s Green Room to create a custom design which will be featured throughout the venue and extended into a series of fashion prints, produced by the style duo. The art prints will be on display at Johnny’s throughout the month.

On Saturday the 21st March, Johnny’s have invited guest chef Mitch Orr from Ciccia Bella Bondi to host a Rigatoni Party, presented by Peroni and Italo Dining and Disco Club from Sydney. DJ Mike Simonetti, flown in all the way from NYC will be entertaining the crowd on the decks, with Peroni flowing at the bar.

Street art lovers can take in the new addition at King and Godfree Lane where local Melbourne artist Stephen Baker will be taking over, quite literally, the walls of that lead to Johnny’s Green Room in King & Godfree Lane. Inspired by Gio Ponti, Baker’s artwork is inspired the geometric designs and colour palette found at The Parco dei Principi; the first hotel he designed.
