The Queen of Bossa Nova” Lisa Ono is finally returning to Australia after over 3 years. Don’t miss out! It’s one night only in each of the three cities!

“Reblooming Roses” is the theme for Liza Ono Australian Tour 2023. It integrates the meaning of flowers, reblooming, healing and hope together. The theme also symbolises a continuation of the theme of Lisa Ono’s 2018 Australia Tour, “LA VIE EN ROSE”, which is also the title of a famous song by Lisa Ono.

The new theme “Reblooming Roses” is inspired by the 2021 multilingual version of the song “Hana wa Saku” (『世界の言語で花は咲く』), where Lisa Ono sung in Portuguese. This multilingual version was created after 10 years of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which was the reason that the original “Hana wa Saku” was produced to symbolise hope for the future. From the inspiration, we chose the theme “Reblooming Roses” which could hybrid Lisa Ono’s music style with hope, multilingualism, Japan and most importantly, the world that is still recovering from the impact of COVID-19.

She began singing and playing the guitar at age 15, debuting as a professional Bossa Nova singer in 1989. Her natural voice, rhythmic guitar playing and her charming smile led her to huge success and popularised Bossa Nova in Asia.

Lisa has performed with many top musicians such as the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Jazz Samba giant Joao Donato, and has been performing enthusiastically in New York, Brazil and many Asian countries. The album Dream (1999), sold more than two hundred thousand copies in Japan, and since then she has established a determined position in the Japanese Bossa Nova community.

Top hits songs including 《Weiny Weiny》,《La Vie En Rose》,《Samba de Verão》and more!

By “Reblooming Roses”, we hope Lisa Ono’s music may help her fans and the world to heal and rebloom like roses in the post-pandemic life.
