AFLW RETURNS!
Be there for the first ever NAB AFL Women’s State of Origin to see the AFLW stars take on the night.
In what’s set to be a blockbuster match and highlight of the Celebration of Football week with FREE ENTRY, Victoria will take on the Allies under lights at Etihad Stadium.
Initial squads are based on the 2017 Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All Australian squad, so it’s set to be a spectacular display of the top talent from across the country! Selection is based on where a player is born, not which state they are currently play in.
See full list below with additional players to be announced later.
Melbourne’s AFLW football operations manager and women’s football legend Debbie Lee will coach the Vics, while Bec Goddard, who led Adelaide to the inaugural AFLW premiership, will coach the Allies.
The match will be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network and FOXTEL/FOX FOOTY.
An Under-18 State of Origin match will be played as a curtain-raiser featuring players in the All Australian squad. The NAB AFL Women’s Under-18 All Australian team will be announced after the match.
Bring your friends and don’t miss this blockbuster return of AFLW!
