Melbourne Seaplane
.. see Melbourne from the air
View Melbourne and its coastline from the air
Take off on a seaplane adventure, and view the city of Melbourne and its surroundings from a unique vantage point. Melbourne Seaplane takes off and lands softly in the water, which is an added adrenalin rush. And once up in the air, you're able to see the city sights from a completely different perspective.
This is the best way to get an idea of what Melbourne is really like, an opportunity to get a bird's eye view of the city and Victoria's beautiful beaches, especially if you have limited sightseeing time.
From here, the seaplane tracks along the Coast past Point Ormond, then Brighton and Brighton Beach. It continues to Sandringham to show you the remains of a World War One submarine, and on to Half Moon Bay, home to the historic wreck of Australia's first naval vessel, Cerebus. It then flies to Melbourne for a view of the city skyline before landing back in Williamstown. Don't forget your camera!
The ultimate way to see Melbourne City skyline and the beautiful coastal beaches of Victoria is by air. Flights over the Dandenong Ranges and Port Phillip Bay or down to the Great Ocean Road.
Rod, the pilot, says 'seaplane flying is a combination of boating and flying, two of his life long passions and the opportunity to share this with other people is fantastic.'
The aircraft used are special designed for use on water with factory fitted floats and a powerful 300 horsepower 224 kw engine that will never miss a beat and will carry up-to five persons depending overall weight and weather conditions.
