Then came Xanadu, and success after success, creating one of the world’s most enduring and endearing stars. Her advocacy work for humanitarian and health issues, especially the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, is renowned.

ABOUT OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN
Singer-songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John, known for playing Sandy in the musical film ‘Grease’ has battled breast cancer and helped raise awareness through her music.
Born in England in 1948, Olivia Newton-John performed in clubs and on television in England in the ’60s and went on to record Grammy Award-winning hits including “I Honestly Love You” and “Let’s Get Physical.” She became an international star after playing Sandy in the 1978 film adaptation of Grease, co-starring John Travolta. In 1992, Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer, eventually went into remission and then suffered a relapse in 2017. She has devoted much of her time to help raise awareness and funding for cancer research and has supported various environmental causes and charities.
