Before the sun rises, 6,000, wholesalers, farmers,retailers, food service delivery personal and florists are out on the trading floors of the Melbourne Wholesale Markets at Epping. This major food and flower distribution centre in Victoria is open to our tour guests to visit during working hours. Tours start at 5.45am and finish around 7.45am as the markets close for the day.
Closed to the general public, we take Industry, Educational and special interest groups through all areas. Our public tours are open for individuals to enjoy a small group tour with like minded others. Private tours to cater for specific requirements are our speciality. On Saturdays, our sunrise Flower market tour are not only a chance to meet the traders but also a rare opportunity to purchase at wholesale prices, armfuls of blooms to take home, if desired.
Mid week, Monday -Friday, all areas of the Fruit & Vegetable trade are open.Tours on Tuesdays & Thursdays can include the Flower market also.
Guests join our tour on site at Epping. Those requiring transport from the city centre (or elsewhere) should email before booking for current options.
