Exclusive small group guided hiking adventure through part of the pristine wilderness of the National Parks surrounding the Yarra Valley. Enjoy a moderate 5km walk though bushland along the Yarra River and keep a look out for wildlife including Kangaroos, Wombats, Parrots and more! Departing from Melbourne at 3.30pm, we drive approximately one hour to our first stop at a working farm to collect fresh fruit and supplies for our picnic (and bathroom stop) before a short drive to the National Park. Embark on a 5 kilometre hiking loop at Mount Lofty in Warrandyte State Park, one of Australia’s top nature trails. Our experienced hiking guide will walk with you and talk you through the landscape, pointing out Wombat burrows and grassy fields where Kangaroos graze. We'll follow the undulating trail for a slow climb to the top of the hill to enjoy a champagne picnic and watch the sunset across the Yarra Valley. Our picnic consists of sandwich wraps and fresh fruit as well as a celebratory glass of champagne (or orange juice!). Reach the highest point of the trail just in time for sunset, where a champagne picnic awaits.
